Lee Sin and Teemo, two popular champions in League of Legends, are getting closer to receiving their much-anticipated Art and Sustainability Updates (ASU). The ASU aims to enhance their overall appearance, story, and voice-overs while keeping their gameplay unchanged.
Riot Games has recently announced the estimated release dates for these updates. Executive producer Jeremy "Brightmoon" Lee and studio head Andrei "Meddler" van Roon stated that they are targeting a 2024 release for both champions.
Lee Sin will be the first to receive the ASU, expected to be released in the first part of the year, followed by Teemo in the second half.
While fans may have to wait a while, Riot Games wants to ensure that these improvements are executed correctly, considering various details.
For Lee Sin, the developers plan to make his power more visually apparent in his design and abilities, improving the clarity of gameplay while modernizing his animations. They also aim to retain the same feel as the previous champion while enhancing his charm.
Teemo will also undergo a similar makeover, including improved spell animations, a new narration, an expanded narrative, new recalls, and additional facial expressions on Summoner's Rift.
Although his playstyle remains relatively unchanged, with his Noxious Trap mushrooms and invisibility, his animations and overall appearance are somewhat outdated, making him a suitable candidate for an ASU.
