Resident Evil 4 Remake won't have any quick time events like the original, it's been confirmed by Capcom along with some other details regarding weapon upgrades, new enemies and sidequests.

Capcom just revealed a bunch of new details about one of the most anticipated horror games of 2023, Resident Evil 4 Remake . In an interview with GameInformer , Capcom revealed new screenshots, and gameplay information regarding weapon upgrades, side quests and more.

Capcom confirmed that the remake will not have any quick-time events, a feature that was present in the original multiple times throughout the story. This may come as great news to those who usually hate quick-time events, but on the other hand, there are plenty of those who loved these sequences in Resident Evil 4 and no doubt this will come as a major disappointment.

Additionally, Capcom revealed that the remake will have new enemies, a new crossbow weapon and side quests! The devs didn't go into detail on how deep these side quests will be but this is certainly a nice touch that will make the remake feel like a completely new experience, even if you've played the original.

Furthermore, Leon can now carry multiple knives which is another major change over the original, where Leon could only carry one knife. As for our damsel in distress, Ashley, players will use the R3 button on the DualSense controller to give her commands.
