Another promising Soulslike seems to be on the way as The Lords of the Fallen has some pretty awesome screenshots to show.
CI Games and Hexworks presented another set of screenshots for The Lords of the Fallen , an upcoming Soulslike that looks promising but hasn't gained much attention due to the immense popularity of Elden Ring.
Additionally, the first Lords of the Fallen from the same company didn't really fulfil the expectations of those hungry for challenging combat, which may be another factor why the kind of sequel is flying under so many radars.
Then again, it is maybe the incredible similarity in naming with the original title that leaves people unaware a new one is in the works.
It does look stunning though and is worth keeping an eye on. If you don't want to take our word for it, just check out the gallery with the brand-new screenshots.
Even though Lords of the Fallen has carved out its own niche through unique art and world-building, it is easy to spot a few creatures that heavily resemble elements of the Dark Souls series.
For example, in one of the images, the player is in a swampy area, using a greatsword to engage some enemies that closely resemble Ghru from Dark Souls 3, who are located in the swampy Farron Keep map, alongside the aforementioned greatsword that was inspired by Berserk.
Some of this may be a stretch but an homage every now and then is great to see regardless, especially because The Lords of the Fallen isn't a copy-and-paste type of thing, it is clearly trying to differentiate itself from the competition.
