Capcom has confirmed that another Resident Evil Showcase will be broadcasted on January 15, 2026. Scheduled to start at 2 pm PT / 10 pm GMT on Thursday, January 15, the latest RE Showcase will feature gameplay footage and franchise announcements.
This time around, Resident Evil Requiem is expected to be spotlighted. Resident Evil Requiem releases later this year, so details will likely be revealed.
Resident Evil Requiem is set to release on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Considered to usher in a “new era” of survival horror, pre-orders for the game have officially launched.
Expectations for Resident Evil Showcase presentation
As for the event itself, Capcom has been pretty clear that they’ll be using this opportunity to dive deeper into the gameplay elements of Resident Evil Requiem, particularly how things will play out differently between the games’ two playable characters: series veteran Leon S. Kennedy and newcomer Grace Ashcroft.
We also should see more of what to expect from the overall town of Wrenwood, where the game is set, which teases a combination of tight corridors and areas we can roam around in with less dread.
What we know about Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem presents a new chapter and direction for the series, but one that retains the horror it has come to be known for. Balancing how Kennedy and Ashcroft will tackle survival is only one aspect of what we can expect from the game.
Wrenwood itself will also help to establish the pace of the game as you explore your surroundings.
Could other Resident Evil games be revealed?
Although Resident Evil Requiem is known to be the centerpiece of January’s showcase, Capcom has left the door open that other games from the franchise could make an appearance.
While no other titles have been explicitly mentioned, the wording has left fans wondering what else could be coming down the pipeline.
