Capcom are working on several Resident Evil project and the first one could be revealed sometime in 2024, according to reliable insider Dusk Golem, who accurately revealed unannounced Resident Evil info before.
The insider states that Resident Evil 9 is likely to be unveiled next year and released a year after in 2025. Sadly, the insider did not share any other details about the game.
We still don't know the setting or the protagonists that will appear in this highly anticipated new horror title but according to some rumours, Chris Redfield could play a major role in this upcoming story.
Ethan Winters, the protagonist of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village, probably won't appear in the next game for reasons known to those who beat Village.
There is a chance that Capcom come up with some strange ideas to include Winters but we highly doubt the next Resident Evil game will once again revolve around Winters family story.
All in all, we're certainly excited to learn more about the next Resident Evil game as the last couple of releases have been pretty stellar, even the most recent remake of Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 9 won't be coming anytime soon, though, and as always with rumours and leaks, we suggest you take the information with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation.
Resident Evil 9 should launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
