With almost 6 months left until its March 2023 release, Capcom has given us a first insight into what the remake of Resident Evil 4 will look like.
As you'd expect from a remake, Resident Evil 4's graphics are more than up to par when compared to the games of today. The gameplay offers the same dark intensity that had the players hooked on this horror franchise so many years ago.
To keep the player on the edge of their seat, the fresh quick-time event animations have them one missed button away from a brutal demise at the hands of their enemies when they least expect it.
The game will feature very familiar characters from the franchise: Ada Wong, Leon S. Kennedy and Ashley Graham. Ashley is getting a complete makeover and is looking as good as ever before.
The clip does make sure to not provide any spoilers about the game, even though the storyline of the remake seems to be very similar to the original.
Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident that happened six years prior, in Racoon City, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president. Leon is on a mission to rescue the kidnapped daughter of his recruiter, Ashley Graham.
He tracks her down in a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers. While the gruelling survival horror is a rework, players can definitely expect a few twists and changes to the story.
