Publisher Krafton will globally launch their free-to-play mobile battle royale title PUBG: New State on November 11, 2021.
Last night, Krafton hosted an hour-long PUBG: New State online showcase where they officially announced that their mobile battle royale will officially launch on iOS and Android on November 11, 2021.
Krafton confirmed that the game will launch globally, in more than 200 countries following a final Technical Test which is coming on October 29, 2021.
The publisher also shared additional details about their post-launch content updates for PUBG: New State. Players can expect "a strong and consistent pipeline of new content, global service support and anti-cheat measures".
PUBG: New State is a brand new take on PUBG, with a completely different, near-future setting. The game will retain its boots on the ground gameplay though. Interestingly, if you check out the official trailer for PUBG: New State, you'll notice that the game art style is more cartoonish than the original PUBG, even though it still retains some of its signature realistic looks.
PUBG: New State is only announced for mobile, both iOS and Android devices. Krafton are yet to announce the game for other platforms and it will probably stay that way since the rumours suggest that the publisher are working on PUBG 2, which is developed on Unreal Engine 5.
