Earlier this week, new Call of Duty game, codenamed The Red Door leaked over at the Xbox Store and players have already managed to boot up the game and discover Call of Duty: Black Ops splash screen.
It's almost August and we are yet to hear about Call of Duty 2020 from the publisher Activision. Never in the history of the modern Call of Duty games have we waited for so long for the announcement, which some players may find concerning, especially after the rumours about troubled development emerged.
Despite this, it seems that the game could be announced very soon. As you may know, earlier this week, Call of Duty 2020 appeared on the Xbox Store, codenamed as The Red Door. The store listing included some information about the game such as Activision as the publisher and shooter genre. On top of this, there was a "Redeem Code" button suggesting that this could be an alpha or beta client.
Today, players have found that The Red Door client is now named Call of Duty: Black Ops CIA. The "CIA" probably stands for Closed Internal Alpha, not Central Intelligence Agency as some players assumed.
Furthermore, someone managed to boot up the game but sadly, it does not progress past the Black Ops Splashscreen, which you can see below.
All these leaks suggest that Activision could announce the game very soon since it seems that the devs are testing the game internally for bugs and other issues. Hopefully, we'll hear more about Call of Duty 2020 in the upcoming weeks.
