Project M is an action-adventure shooter by South Korean publisher Ncsoft built in Unreal Engine 5. The devs showcased some snippets of gameplay and stunning visuals at the GDC.
During Epic Games ' State of the Unreal session at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), Korean developer and publisher Ncsoft presented a new look at their upcoming action-adventure shooter currently codenamed Project M.
Project M is being built in Unreal Engine 5 hence Ncsoft's presentation at Epic's session. The developer showcased a lot of new footage including a couple of seconds of gameplay, which really looked impressive.
The visuals are, as expected, pumped to the max with highly-detailed environments, characters and realistic lighting. Ncsoft said Project M is their latest innovation, which aims to take the graphics tech to an unprecedented level.
Project M is described as an action-adventure title with immersive interactive elements. The small snippets of gameplay we've seen showed a very minimalistic UI which asked players to make their choice on how they want to proceed.

Depending on the player choices Project M will have different outcomes, reminding us of games like Detroit: Become Human and similar.
Project M is currently announced for consoles but there's no specific information on the confirmed platforms. As for the release date, there's nothing on that either but it doesn't look like Project M will be coming anytime soon. Give it a few years, as it looks like a very ambitious project.
