Marvel's Spider-Man 2 could release in September, it's claimed

Venom voice actor Tony Todd has revealed on Twitter that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is coming in September 2023 with a huge marketing campaign being planned for August.

One of the biggest video games of 2023, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 , is currently on track to launch sometime in the second half of the year during Autumn according to developer Insomniac Games .

Officially, there is no more specific date but according to the latest rumours, the release date could be set for September 2023, as soon as we wave goodbye to the Summer.

This is claimed by Venom voice actor Tony Todd , who revealed on Twitter that leading up to the game's alleged September 2023 release date, Sony would kick off a massive marketing campaign in August.

This is nothing out of the ordinary since Sony always have strong marketing campaigns for their games and you can bet that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be one of their biggest yet. As for the release date, it could be just a guess since Sony and Insomniac Games already mentioned the Autumn 2023 release.

We suggest you take the rumour with a grain of salt, just like any other unconfirmed info that is not coming from the official channels.

On top of this, it's always good to take the release dates with a dose of scepticism, especially in today's day and age when almost every AAA game eventually gets delayed by at least a couple of months. So, until we get that locked-down date from Sony, don't take anything set in stone.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed original from 2018. The teaser trailer that Sony dropped a while back confirmed that Venom is making an appearance among other villains.

The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5.
