CD Projekt Red confirmed recently that a brand new Witcher game is in development using Unreal Engine 5, instead of their proprietary Red Engine.
Sadly, we didn't get any screenshots or in-engine footage that would give us a closer look at the game in Unreal Engine 5 but thanks to Ninja Theory's Senior Lighting and LookDev Artist Pasquale Scionti, a glimpse of The Witcher 4's fan-made world in Epic's popular game tool has been revealed.
Before you check out the video and write a comment how this has nothing to do with The Witcher, keep in mind that the video is not intended to showcase a game or something that might become a game one day. It's more like a concept and testing ground for lightning and Unreal Engine 5 tools like Lumen and Megascan.
The next Witcher game is early in development at the moment and it won't be coming anytime soon, though.
For more stunning Unreal Engine demos, you can check out Pasquale's work on his official website.
