As a jungler, you're supposed to win the lanes for your team, provide vision, and take objectives. As far as your teammates are concerned, that is. Wo, which changes are Riot planning for the jungle in 2023?

Riot Games promised to enact changes to the top lane in the League of Legends preseason 2023. And while fans were not thrilled because of this decision to do so that far into the future, there is more to follow.

LoL Garena, the host for the League of Legends servers in the Southeast Asia region, has accidentally leaked the changes for League of Legends preseason 2023, and it seems they are tied to the jungle, not the promised top lane changes.

And while we are unsure if this means changes to both lanes, we can say that the leak seems a legitimate accident, as it was taken down shortly after it was published, with the pictures even having a limited number of views to them.

In essence, the developers talk about easing the barrier of entry to the jungle role, for both new players and champions alike. That means easier mechanics such as monster aggro reset, and easier clear optimization, among various things they promise are to come.

One of the solutions they are considering is adding jungle pets to the game who will, upon stacking them with monster souls, for lack of a better term, will latch onto your champion and empower them in return, permanently as it appears, as well as help with jungle paths and make the jungle clear easier for champions that are not that strong in the meta, as well as players who are just learning the role.

Furthermore, one interesting aspect we can expect to change is the way junglers will indicate to their allies that they are coming to gank them. We are not sure if that means that they will make changes to the ping system, or create something completely new, as no information has been given.

All in all, we look forward to Riot Games officially releasing the dev talk regarding this topic, instead of this leak, as it will have Riot employees actually answer questions regarding it.
