Halo: Master Chief Collection announcement brought excitement to many PC owners but they didn't really know when to expect the games to pop up. Now it turns out that Halo: Reach will be the first one to come, with the rest during 2019.

Microsoft and 343 Industries announced Halo: Master Chief Collection on PC but conveniently left out the potential release date. Splash Damage, a co-developer on the project recently sent out a newsletter that let the cat out of the bag though.

The newsletter was relayed on ResetEra, where it stated that Halo: Reach would be the first title to arrive on PC and that it would be followed by Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 over the course of 2019. Given the sheer number of titles that will be released during the year that has just nine months left in it, it's safe to assume that different instalments will be no more than two months apart.

Still, there is no official date on the release of Halo: Reach, which will lead the charge and open the gates for the rest of Halo's onslaught on PC. Considering the longtime fans can't wait to get their hands on the collection, it will be interesting if they will be put off by the possibility of an exclusivity deal with one of the major digital storefronts.

Rest assured, the collection will appear on Microsoft store so those who don't get the games on platforms that don't fit their taste will be able to purchase the games from directly from the IP owner.

Speaking of which, there is currently no information on what the price tag will be for Halo: Master Chief Collection or whether players will be able to purchase each instalment separately. All things considered, it is hard to imagine all of the titles having a full AAA price but it remains to be seen what pricing conclusion Microsoft's marketing team drew.
