Stan LePard passed away a few months ago but his memory will remain with Guild Wars 2 community thanks to the NPC and a statue ArenaNet devoted to the composer.
Guild Wars 2's numerous tracks were composed by Stan LePard, who contributed to the sounds we heard throughout four seasons of Living World, Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire and the Icebrood Saga. While he also worked on other big games such as Halo and Destiny series, the amount of content he made for GW2 can only be described as enormous.
Therefore, it is not a surprise that ArenaNet decided to immortalise LePard in two ways within GW2. First, there is the new NPC named Van Leopard, located near the concert stage in Grothmar Valley. The connection here is probably known to some fans but for those not in the loop - LePard produced three tracks from Metal Legion.
If you're interested about Van Leopard's looks in order to recognise him, you can check the image below.
Furthermore, there will be a statue honouring the late composer, pictured above and located in Lion's Arch. Interacting with it will allow players to listen to the top 10 Guild Wars 2 tracks by LePard, allowing his work to live on, besides the tunes we already hear in the background.
If you're looking for those as well, you can check out the full GW2 soundtrack page that contains links to Soundcloud where you can listen to the music as well.
Some of LePard's closest friends also put together a scholarship with three audio track passes to be given away at GDC 2021 in Stan's name.
