Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons release date has been revealed, along with the start date for the new Elite Specialization beta that will go on until November 2021.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons - release date
Guild Wars 2's third expansion, End of Dragons, will bring a bunch of new gameplay features and adventures set in Cantha when it launches in February 2022.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons - Siege Turtle
End of Dragons expansion will introduce the Siege Turtle. The first-ever multiplayer mount in the game will be able to carry two riders into the Guild Wars 2 co-op gameplay goodness.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons - Skiffs
The arrival of Skiffs in Guild Wars 2 will be supplemented with the introduction of fishing. A first for Guild Wars 2, the new personal watercraft will enable players to set sail with friends and guildmates.
The new fishing mechanic will provide a quick dinner on the move, but also give rise to new tournament events centred around the sport of it all.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons - Elite Specializations
Guild Wars' third expansion will abide by the tradition and bring in new Elite Specializations. Players will be able to take the new skills out for an early spin during the week-long Elite Specialization beta events. These monthly events will start in August and carry on in September, October, and November.
The Elite Specialization beta events will kick off on August 17.
Players can take part in the beta as long as they log in and create a new character during the event.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons additional features
End of Dragons will take the players back to Cantha, a realm first seen in the original Guild Wars' second expansion. The continent has been closed off for over 200 years.
The Jade Wind transformed the land's forests into stone and its seas into jade before the events of the original game. From this came "dragonjade", a new material that's found its use in many as-of-yet undiscovered crafting opportunities due to high levels of magical energy.
A new set of Masteries will be accompanied by a new line of third-generation Legendary Weapons. The new weapons' look was inspired by Elder Dragon Aurene and will be available when End of Dragons launches in 2022.
New 10-player Strike Missions will also be available shortly after End of Dragons hist the live servers.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons price and pre-order bonuses
The upcoming expansion will go for the usual $29.99.
Pre-order bonuses include a Flame Serpent Weapon Chest, a Shing Jea Mosaic Cape, a special Prodigy of Shing Jea character Title, a shared inventory slot, and a level 80 character boost.
