Grand Theft Auto 6 may not launch on PC until at least 2026 or even later since Rockstar Games only confirmed the release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in their official press release.
"Rockstar Games is proud to announce that GrandTheft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X|S in 2025," it's written in the press release shared by Rockstar.
The PC platform is notably missing from the press release which suggests that the PC version will once again lag behind the console release. Given the scope of the game, and the amount of time needed for a proper PC port, it may take several years before we get to play GTA 6 on our computers.
When looking at Rockstar's previous releases like Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5, this hardly comes as a surprise but it's still somewhat disappointing that we're not getting a simultaneous release across all platforms.
Obviously, there is still a chance that Rockstar announce the PC version in the coming year but don't get your hopes up. To us, it's pretty clear that the publisher are saving the PC launch for later.
Once the PC version eventually arrives, it will probably feature improved visuals and new graphical features that were not present in the console version. Hopefully, the optimisation is also better than in Red Dead Redemption 2, which brought even the most powerful PCs to its knees.
