Blood Dragon, the fan-favourite standalone expansion for Far Cry 3, is coming in an update version for current-gen consoles and PC but has some fans worried.

Ubisoft didn't officially announce it, on its own at least, yet but Fary Cry 3: Blood Dragon is getting a Classic Edition , which will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

This is coming straight from the ESRB site so the information is legitimate and not a random 4chan rumour. In case you are wondering about the rating itself, it will be Mature (17+) due to elements that involve blood, partial nudity, sexual content, strong language or violence.

Those who followed Far Cry 6 news will know it will be a bonus for the game's Season Pass but it remains to be seen how Ubisoft will proceed with Blood Dragon Classic Edition as a standalone product.

Considering that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition was for some reason constrained by the previous generation of consoles at the time, many are already worried that this will be the case with Blood Dragon's updated version.

Having to play the game at 30 FPS would probably be a deal-breaker for anyone on PS5 and XSX/S but keep in mind that Ubisoft didn't share performance details yet. That said, PS4 and Xbox One will get BD: Classic Edition too so some drawbacks are bound to occur for the current-gen consoles as well.

Blood Dragon was among the best-received Far Cry products ever and with the possibilities PS5 and XSX/S offer, one has to hope those neon-infused graphics are getting even better.
