Ubisoft's delayed shooter Far Cry 6 is set to release on May 26, 2021, according to the latest listing on Microsoft Store. However, Ubisoft are yet to reveal if this date is legit or not.

One of the biggest releases of 2021 will certainly be Ubisoft's blockbuster shooter Far Cry 6, which was originally scheduled to release in February 2021. As you may know, the publisher decided to delay the game to further optimise the title to bring the best possible experience.

However, they did not say specifically when the game will release - we only know it's coming sometime in 2021.

And as we wait for Ubisoft to officially reveal the new release date, it looks like Microsoft has other plans. Over at Microsoft Store, the release date for Far Cry 6 has leaked, and just like expected, the game is still coming in the first half of 2021.

At the time of writing, the date can still be found right above the "pre-order" button. It states that Far Cry 6 will be available on May 26, 2021, at 2:00 AM CET. We've added a screenshot below, just in case Microsoft removes the date from the listing.

Of course, it's entirely possible that this is just a mistake or a placeholder date. That being said, it would not be the first time that Microsoft Store leaks such details. Star Wars Squadrons is the latest example.

Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see whether Ubisoft officially confirm this as a new release date in the upcoming days.

Far Cry 6 is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
