Far Cry 6 will officially launch on October 7, 2021. Ubisoft celebrated the release date reveal with a story trailer that better introduces Antón Castillo and the forces of Libertad.

Ubisoft has had a busy week revealing an official story trailer for Far Cry 6 as well as the game's release date.

Far Cry 6's official story trailer introduces us to the Yaran Dictator Antón Castillo and the modern guerrillas trying to overthrow him. The trailer manages to introduce Castillo, his plan and the methods that, for him, justify the means. Meanwhile, the two and a half minute video also presents the rebel guerrillas and their vision of the fight for freedom. The group calls itself the Libertad and features a couple of interesting characters. If the story's only as good as its villain, the hopes are high for Far Cry 6.

Far Cry 6 will be available October 7, 2021, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Ubisoft Connect, Ubisoft+, PC (Epic Games) and Stadia.

Far Cry 6 pre-orders are now live. Players who place their pre-order will get access to the Libertad Pack that includes the "Libertad Outfit" for the cute Chorizo and "Discos Locos": a weaponised disc launcher.
