Nintendo goes for Eternal Darkness Trademark

Nintendo filed a trademark application for Eternal Darkness . This could mean several things for the title, that has been struggling to materialise a sequel with two failed Kicktarters in the last few years.

There might be an actual sequel in the works, but it is far more likely that Nintendo is looking to cash in on the great success of HD remasters, that a lot of games had in recent memory. Alternatively, the console giant may be trying to prepare their retro game line-up in relation to the rumoured GameCube Virtual console and Nintendo Switch backwards compatibility.
