Diablo 4 is officially the fastest-selling Blizzard game of all time, the publisher announced today. Diablo 4 also recorded the highest pre-order unit sales ever on both console and PC.
According to Blizzard's sales data, action RPG Diablo 4 is officially their fastest-selling game of all time. This means Diablo 4 sold more copies since its launch than any other Blizzard game in the same time period.
This is a staggering achievement given that Blizzard had a rich history of some massive releases like Diablo 3, World of Warcraft and Overwatch . Blizzard also announced that Diablo 4 achieved Blizzard's highest pre-launch unit sales ever on both console and PC .
Since the game launched, players have played Diablo 4 for over 93 million hours, which is over 10,000 years, which is absolutely bonkers. Diablo 4 launched to overwhelmingly positive reviews from both players and critics and it's one of the highest-scoring games this year on Metacritic and Opencritic.
It's safe to say that Diablo 4 will be a massive success for Blizzard both commercially and artistically. The game is already hailed as one of the best games this year while the sales are also skyrocketing.
We'd even bet that Diablo 4 could become Blizzard's best-selling game of all time since it's a great starting point for many players, even those who never played a single Diablo game in their life.
President of Blizzard Entertainment Mike Ybarra said that the studio's vision is always to "create legendary experiences for all to share, and Diablo IV is an incredible realization of that vision".
Diablo 4 is available now on PC via Battle.net, PlayStation 4 , PlayStation 5 , Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
