ARC Raiders‘ biggest update since launch has arrived today in the form of Frozen Trail. The update sees a ton of new content and additions to Embark Studios’ extraction shooter, including a new map, new enemies and weapons, progression additions, and several new features and systems.
Players will also find new ways to customise their experience and entertain themselves outside of raids. Alongside plenty of additions, Embark have implemented several quality-of-life changes to improve controls, map selection, and inventory progression.
Pendola Pass and New Enemies
Frozen Trail’s headline feature is Pendola Pass, a brand-new map joining your available raid locations. Alongside Pendola Pass, two new map conditions called Frigate and Redirection are introduced.
Three new enemies will also be joining you on your adventures: Bully, Skulker and Hydra. You will also have access to two new weapons, Bantam and Stiletto, as well as the new Amplified Weapons system.
New Outpost and Progression Features
ARC Raiders progression is significantly expanded through a revamped Skill Tree and an addition called The Outpost. This new area features a Research Bench, while lootable Design items can be found and unlocked as craftable furniture for your Outpost.
The quest system also gets some love, with 22 new quests added to the list. Frozen Trail also adds a new Reward Pass system to provide players with another method of progression.
Frozen Trail also features several new items you can find while out on adventures:
- Grappling Hook
- Basic Camera
- Advanced Camera
- Tether Launcher
- Yank Grenade
- Mountaineer’s Detector
- Banjo
- Harmonica
More Changes in Frozen Trail
Frozen Trail adds Weapon Stencils and tweaks default gamepad controls. The Map Selection screen also gets a makeover with visual improvements and smoother user experience.
Collector DLC is now available, while Stash Size has been bumped up two levels, now able to hold up to 328 slots without Expedition bonuses.
