Blizzard seem to be teasing another Diablo 4 beta

The official Diablo account on Twitter has been teasing more access to the game suggesting that Blizzard could announce another open beta for Diablo 4 at a developer live stream later today, April 20.

"That can be arranged..." replied the official Diablo Twitter account when one Diablo 4 fan asked whether he could get to play the game again soon. Many fans seem to think that this is a tease for another beta test that could be officially announced by Blizzard today at the developer live stream.

Blizzard announced earlier that the live stream will feature endgame details , changes implemented in Diablo 4 since the first beta and additional surprises. One of these surprises could be the second open beta announcement for the month of May.

Having another stress test for the servers just before the official launch would certainly come in handy for Blizzard, who are surely expecting millions of players to jump into the Sanctuary on June 6.

Diablo 4 has officially gone gold

If there is another Diablo 4 open beta coming, one would assume that more content will also be available to players, who only got to explore the starting region of Fractured Peaks in the first beta. Perhaps having another zone like Scotland-inspired Scosglen.

Since we already got to try all classes, Blizzard would simply need to keep them unlocked and perhaps give players a chance to participate in PvP, which is something that we didn't get to try in the first beta.

All in all, guess we'll simply have to wait and see if Blizzard announce another beta for Diablo 4 today. Even if they don't, we won't be too disappointed given that the game is just around the corner anyway.

Diablo 4 launches on PC , Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S , PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on June 6, 2023.
