Bungie is enriching Strand in the next season of Destiny 2 with three aspects, one for each class.
While the existence of the new aspects was no secret, the team never revealed what each of them will do until the latest TWAB.
Warlocks and Hunters seem to be a mix of PvP and PvE utility oriented while the Titans will get a new PvE tool.
Hunter Aspect: Threaded Specter
Activate your class ability to leave behind a decoy woven from Strand matter that draws the attention of nearby combatants.
After taking significant damage or when combatants approach, the decoy detonates, dealing damage and releasing Threadlings that seek out and attack nearby foes.
This aspect seems aimed at PvE at first but it could be useful in PvP because Threadlings are such a menace, especially in 6v6, although you would have to rely on the enemies getting fooled by the clone. In PvE, however, it should prove to be a great survival tool, especially because Strand is lacking in that department compared to the likes of Solar and Arc.
Warlock Aspect: The Wanderer
Tangles you throw attach to enemies and detonate into a suspending burst. Threadling final blows create a Tangle.
Much like Threaded Specter, The Wanderer will find use in both PvE and PvP as you can technically chain the Suspended effect. If you are lacking add clear, this will make them manageable but having some sort of AoE weapon should create a bunch of mid-air explosions. PvP enemies will find the Threadling builds even more frustrating now.
Titan Aspect: Flechette Storm
While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to leap into the air, knocking nearby targets away and dealing damage. While airborne, activate your charged melee again to launch a cluster of damaging, Unraveling projectiles. Repeatedly activating melee will chain additional throws.
This will provide great add clear for Titans and if you pair it with Monte Carlo, you will be able to do this all the time. Unfortunately, the aspect doesn't seem to be all that useful in PvP.
