After having no known release date for some time we finally have one. Free DLC for Cairn known as On the Trail: Deep Water will be released on October 29th 2026. The Game Bakers gave us this news after pushing back the DLC from it's previous release date of August.
Originally the free DLC had it's release date set to August 13th. After the push back there was no mention of what the new date would be. But we now know that the DLC will be coming to PS5 and PC on October 29th 2026.
On the Trail - Deep Water Will Include 3 New Locations To Climb
As stated before there will be 3 new climbing locations added to Cairn. Not too much has been revealed about these new locations from The Game Bakers. However there will be more mountains to climb in Cairn once the DLC is out. As a free DLC there will be no price tag attached to this.
The developer had previously moved the release date from August 13th to a unknown date. Well, now we know it will be released on October 29th 2026.
If you're unfamiliar with Cairn it's a game about mountain climbing. You have to think about your path to the top of each mountain and make sure you have the right gear to get you there. With 3 new mountains to climb once the DLC is out there will be plenty to climb.
