Konami have announced that players will be able to try Castlevania: Belmont's Curse for free via a demo, which is coming October 1, 2026, to all platforms.
Unlike a lot of demos that exist purely as a taster, Konami promises that your progress can carry over once the full game releases. Save data from the demo transfers directly into the full version, provided a few conditions are met: the demo and full game need to be played on the same platform and account, the demo save data has to still be present on that platform when transferring, and the full version needs to be updated to its latest patch first. Certain features and content are also noted as restricted within the demo itself.
Platforms, performance and file size
The demo is coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. It supports Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Frame rate targets 60fps across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, with Switch running at 30fps. Minimum storage requirements are 6GB on PS5, 3GB on Switch, 5GB on Xbox Series X|S, and 4GB on Steam.
