File sizes seem to only be getting bigger with each instalment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series. When Fnal Fantasy 7 Revelation comes out it will most likely be another one of those larger games.
It will most likely take up 200GB when it's completed. This is what Final Fantasy VII director Naoki Hamaguchi stated.
Final Fantasy 7 revelation will be much bigger then its counterparts. Final Fantasy 7 Remake took up 100GB of storage and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth came in around 150GB.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Will Be A Huge Game
There are still a few more months to go until we get our hands on Final Fantasy 7 revelation. But square enix have been working on it and showing us more through trailers. After summer game fest and gamescom 2026 we have been given more info about the RPG and a release date as well.
When asked about why the game is so big. Director Naoki Hamaguchi told VGC that the game will most likely be "Around 200GB" once they are done. He understands that this may be an issue but the team has to work with what they have to give us the best game possible.
It's also interesting to think about how big the physical disc will be. Since the game is going to be so big it will not all fit on one disc. But square enix wanted to include a physical copy of the game anyway.
Not knowing what will happen with physical copies of games is why they wanted to include one. No matter if you buy the physical or digital version. You will need a good amount of space on your ps5.
It's going to be the biggest game in the Final Fantasy 7 remake saga. If you plan on playing Final Fantasy 7 revelation when it comes out you will need some free space.
