Ghost of Yotei fans now have all official information on the title’s pre-load date and file size on PS5 as it is a highly-anticipated action-adventure game. Digital pre-orders will be able to pre-load Ghost of Yotei on September 25, 2025, a full week before the official release of the game on October 2, 2025.
The download size for Ghost of Yotei is a large 85.119 GB and it is currently taking up the same amount of space on the PS5. This is nearly 30 GB larger than Sucker Punch Productions’ previous PS5 release, Ghost of Tsushima, which was 59.185 GB.
Players who are concerned they do not have enough space should clear up room or invest in a storage upgrade before the game comes out if possible.
Update and Review Embargo
Ghost of Yotei’s pre-load will have the latest update installed for those who pre-ordered the game digitally. On the other hand, players who ordered the game on disc will probably have to download the update separately when available.
The review embargo for Ghost of Yotei will lift on September 25 at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT. This gives critics well over a week to publish their reviews and post their impressions of the game before it releases. Publishers typically give shorter review windows if they are worried about the final product.
