Gearbox today rolled out a hotfix for Borderlands 3 that brings two new mini-events. Dubbed Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught and Making it Rain, the events are meant to boost your loot and currency, respectively.
"Today we will release a hotfix for Borderlands 3, which will be live on all platforms by 12:00 PM PST. In this week's hotfixes we have two new mini-events: Mr. Torgue's Slaughter Onslaught and Making it Rain! To apply hotfixes, wait at the main menu until you see a sign that says Hotfixes Applied", Gearbox wrote.
Before we move onto the new events, a brief reminder that Borderlands 3's Rare Chest Riches and Loot Monster Mayhem mini-events are going into retirement today at 9am PST / 6pm CET.
As for the new mini-events, first up on the menu is Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught. This Borderlands 3 event boosts the number of dedicated loot drops that players get when facing off against Circles of Slaughter bosses.
Making It Rain, on the other hand, is all about the Benjamins or whatever Pandora's equivalent president is. The event amps up your in-game currency drops for normal, Badass and Anointed enemies.
"[This] will come in handy when you're fighting the Cartels in this month’s upcoming patch. These events will go live with the hotfix today and will end on April 23 at 9:00am." That's 6pm CET in Europe by the waw, to save you a few Google clicks.
Borderlands 3's weekly hotfixes normally list a number of rebalancing tweaks towards the end of patch note,s but Gearbox thought it's best if they kept it simple this time around.
