Blizzard Entertainment have seemingly used fake accounts to ask questions for their latest Diablo 4 Q and A session, according to eagled-eyed Twitter users, who spotted this very unusual practice from the developer.
During the Q and A session, Blizzard developers answered several questions about Diablo 4 features, including cutscenes, co-op and skill trees to name a few. This would not be unordinary if the actual questions were coming from legit accounts, players who are interested in hearing more about this upcoming action RPG.
As you can see in the image below, the accounts that asked the questions didn't have any previous activity on Twitter. Some of the accounts were created on the same day when the Q and A session aired.
When showing the questions in the Q and A video, Blizzard included handles of the "users" who asked them these questions but it seems that the developer did not think someone would find these easy questions a bit suspicious and search for people who asked them.
Now, you may wonder why would Blizzard do this. Well, we're as baffled as you are. The devs had numerous Diablo 4 interviews so far, explaining the game's features in great detail so this seems really, really odd.
It's possible that they want to avoid tough questions so close to launch, which is a bit disappointing from Blizzard as they have been fairly transparent so far when it comes to Diablo 4 features and systems.
Blizzard are yet to comment on the matter and we doubt that will happen now since we're days away from the official launch of their big release.
Diablo 4 is officially launching on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on June 5 if you own the Standard Edition and June 1 if you own Deluxe or Ultimate Edition.
