Blizzard have revealed the performance targets for Diablo 4 on Xbox Series X and S consoles. The good news is that the game will run at 60 FPS on both consoles.
Xbox Series X and Series S owners will be happy to hear that Blizzard's highly anticipated hack-and-slash RPG Diablo 4 will be running at 60 FPS locked on both consoles.
Blizzard confirmed the performance targets for both consoles recently, revealing that the stronger console, the Series X, will run at 4K resolution and 60 FPS, while the chapter model, the Series S, is aiming for 1080p resolution and 60 FPS.
Whether Diablo 4 can consistently keep the frame rate at 60 FPS, well, that's something that we'll find out at launch but it's certainly great to see that the devs are opting for a default 60 FPS mode, rather than 30 FPS with shinier graphics.
Diablo 4 is one of those games where the 60 FPS option is without a doubt the first choice for the majority of gamers. Due to the game's fast-paced combat, having a buttery smooth experience is paramount for enjoying Diablo 4 and similar action titles.
Blizzard have previously talked about some of the heavier graphical features like ray-tracing , so it will be interesting to see if they also implement a 30 FPS mode but we doubt any Diablo fans would care much about that.
