Assassin's Creed Infinity is a new step for the franchise, Ubisoft announced back in July 2021, calling the new early in development game a "future defining" for their popular series.
The details about the game are pretty scarce since the release date is still far away but an alleged leak from Reddit may include some legit information that got us pretty excited for the future of the Assassin's Creed franchise.
Redditor Smooth-Earth2875 claims that Assassin's Creed Infinity is inspired by the Helix missions from Assassin's Creed Unity. Each mission will be a small, linear experience with Hitman-like semi open-world levels.
Apparently, there will be multiple assassin's and each one of them will have multiple missions for players to complete. The leaker claims that Ubisoft plan to "remake and retell" the older Assassin's Creed games in Infinity, presumably via these smaller missions.
Additionally, new stories will be introduced to the game regularly for an additional cost.
Since this is just a rumour, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt but it does sound pretty credible.
Some reliable sources like Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported that Assassin's Creed Infinity will feature multiple settings expanding to others in the months and years following its debut. This certainly sounds similar to the details we got today but again, until we get an official confirmation from Ubisoft, don't take anything as a certainty.
