ArenaNet unveiled some big news regarding the next expansion of Guild Wars 2 and followed it up with a few pieces of concept art that may wake up the nostalgia.
End of Dragons will finally take players to Cantha after almost a decade of Guild Wars 2 and while ArenaNet released the teaser trailer in 2020, they are gearing up to reveal the first juicy details on July 27, 2021.
At this point in time, the developers will reveal the actual details on the expansion, possibly explaining who it was in the trailer that talked to Kuunavang and why the entity sounds so much like Jormag.
On that note, the finale of Icebrood Saga went live at the same time as this article so you might want to pop in Eye of the North and see how things with Jormag and others. While the detour isn't particularly long, it's quite cinematic.
Back on the topic of the expansion, the developers will hold a live stream where they will talk about the setting and the story. More importantly for those who can't contain the hype - they will reveal information on when you can participate in the upcoming beta events for End of Dragons!
While this is great news for those anticipating EoD, ArenaNet revealed a lot more information about upcoming major balance changes, free Living World episodes, return of a fan-favourite open-world boss, a new way to handle Legendaries and events such as bonuses in PvP, PvE and return of the Dragon Bash festival.
Until then, here is a bit of concept art from the upcoming expansion. Enjoy!
