AMD's Fidelity FX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) is officially out today in Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum. The latest version of this upscaling tech will make its debut in only these two titles for the time being as more games will enable it at a later date.
AMD's Frank Azor announced the news on social media X, confirming that AMD are working closely with their partners to bring FSR 3 to other titles, too.
"We are working with our partners to bring you the first 2 FSR3 enabled games tomorrow. More titles will begin ramping up thereafter, as we saw with prior versions of FSR, which are now supported in over 300 announced games," Azor wrote.
Some of the games that are expected to be supported in the future include Cyberpunk 2077, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Frostpunk 2, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Crimson Desert and more.
In case you're not familiar with the latest FSR version, AMD promised a lot of improvements and changes that should bring them closer to Nvidia's competition DLSS 3.
At launch, FSR 3 will include Fluid Motion Frames, which is AMD's equivalent of DLSS Frame Generation. This should provide over a 3x increase in frame rates, according to AMD's official slides.
Just like previous versions, AMD FSR 3 will work on the majority of GPUs on the market, including the Nvidia RTX series.
