Obsidian Entertainment are preparing another major update for their backyard survival game Grounded. This charming Xbox exclusive will introduce "an entirely new way to adventure" according to the official announcement on social media X.
The update will be coming on November 13, 2023, but more details and full announcement are expected as the next few weeks fly by, Obsidian said.
"Prepare for an unexpected twist! On November 13, 2023, the Grounded team is turning the tables and introducing an entirely new way to adventure in the backyard. Keep an eye on our socials for all the latest news as the next few weeks fly by," the devs announced.
The teaser trailer is pretty vague and doesn't really reveal much but some fans are guessing that the update could introduce a Forge-like mode, that would allow players even more creative freedom when it comes to building.
That would certainly be a great update but we're also hoping to see new content for the base game like new bosses, perhaps a new area on the map and more.
Over the years, Grounded has grown to become quite the exclusive for Xbox. What started as a passion project by a small team within Obsidian, is now a full-fledged and the most unique survival game experience on the market.
It's undoubtedly great to see that Xbox are still supporting Obsidian to continue working on more content for Grounded and we can't wait to see what comes next.
Grounded is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The game is also on Xbox Game Pass for PC, console and cloud.
