Prepare for an epic journey as CI Games' highly anticipated release, Lords of the Fallen, draws closer. In a captivating 7-minute overview trailer, the game's creators offer a glimpse into the dark and immersive world that awaits players.

It is only weeks until the official release of Hexworks' biggest title yet, Lords of the Fallen. To keep the players anticipating, CI Games have released a 7-minute-long video explaining what the players are getting themselves into and giving a tiny glimpse of the enemies and characters they might face on their journey to disrupt the reign of Adyr.

The game is said to take place one thousand years after the events of the original homonymous game from 2014 and will have a considerably darker tone, giving it more of a Dark Souls feel. While the original title already bore similarities to the Dark Souls series in terms of gameplay, this installment is poised to deliver a more tightly curated experience.

Aside from the intense story and characters, the trailer also features some of the many different areas players will be able to explore and enjoy while making their way through the game. The game will lean more towards Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 than Elden Ring since it will not feature an open-world experience.

The trailer mentions "Five Holy Beacons of the Sentinels", and so far we assume that those are the five areas the player will have to go through and defeat anyone who stands in his or her way as they attempt to reclaim Mournstead by restoring radiance to the beacons. The radiance will be restored with the power of a mystical lamp that has found its way to you and chosen you as its bearer.

The power of the lamp will allow you to travel between two very different realms: the realm of the living, better known as Axiom, and the realm of the dead, better known as Umbra. Both realms feature their own unique worlds, filled with very different enemies and bosses.

Lastly, the game will feature multiplayer and nine different starting classes to choose from, similar to those of Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3, but will not bind your character strictly to those classes as they will allow you to branch out into any class you like.
