The Texas Chainsaw Massacre had first been leaked months ago with a video that was for many a reason to get into the game. The video featured a few victims struggling to free themselves in a very dark area of Sumo Digital's newest release.
This later went on to become the spawning screen of the victims whenever they are put into the game.
Every victim starts off in one part of the basement and can struggle to make their way outside. Many would suggest that the victim starting area is relatively big and often very confusing but in reality, it is very easy to navigate.
Once the victims had freed themselves or are in the process of freeing themselves, 3 doors are highlighted in yellow. These are the exits out of the basement.
While that might seem like a relatively easy way to leave the basement and make a run for the exit, all of the highlighted doors are locked and require additional fidgeting to get opened.
Every interactable item in the game requires a unlock tool that is represented by a screwdriver icon. These can be found laying around the map or in toolboxes that can be researched.
The first door of the basement can be found on the left-hand side of the room where the victims spawn and going through that door and up the stairs will lead the victims straight to the outside.
The next door is found in the Leatherface's lair but not many survivors spawn close enough to it to make it their primary exit. Sticking to the exit that spawns the furthest left is usually the best pick as it is often the closest exit to the victims.
