The Texas Chainsaw Massacre developers, Sumo Digital, have ensured that every player finds their perfect playstyle in the newest release. For those who like brutal and gruesome murders, Leatherface is for you.
The Leatherface is considered one of the most ruthless killers in the Family. His weapon of choice is a chainsaw and he does not resist using it at every chance he gets.
His chainsaw does have a mini skill check that needs to be hit in order to power it up. To use the chainsaw, the player must press the right mouse click and land the skill check by pressing E.
Once the chainsaw has been powered up, the right mouse button has to be held down in order to keep running. Releasing the button will cause the chainsaw to turn off again and turning it on again will demand another skill check sequence to be completed.
The Leatherface can become stealthy by tactically turning the chainsaw off for more sneaky plays or to just get closer to the victims without being spotted.
The Leatherface is the only killer in the family who can destroy barricades, doors and other obstacles with his chainsaw. While this does reveal his location, it decreases the victims' chances of winning a chase because they lack spots where they can slip away.
The strength of the Leatherface's attacks scale with the rev time so the longer the rev time, the more powerful his attack will be.
The Leatherface does have a power attack which can be triggered once the chainsaw has been revved to its limit. If the player manages to time the release of the rev perfectly, he will land the power attack without letting the chainsaw overheat. The powered attack is an ensured one-shot death.
