Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Who is the Grandpa?
Can you not wake the Grandpa up?
Can you not wake the Grandpa up?

In the Texas Chainsaw Massacre film, he's a founding member of the depraved family and a witness to the sadistic torment inflicted on victims. Similarly, Sumo Digital's game adaptation maintains this portrayal.

Grandpa Sawyer, also known as Grandpa Slaughter, is a fictional character from the original horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, released back in 1974 but he also appears in Sumo Digital's game adaptation.

He is a member of the Sawyer family, a deranged and murderous clan of cannibals who terrorize a group of young people who find themselves stranded in rural Texas.

Grandpa Sawyer is portrayed as an elderly and feeble man, often depicted as being unable to participate directly in the violent acts committed by his family members but rather feasts on the fruit of their success.

Similarly to the movies, the Grandpa does not directly hunt the victims in the game but rather sits in his chair and sleeps for the first few minutes of the game and then later participates more and more by being fed by the family.

Why is he so short?

In the film, Grandpa is shown as one of the original members of the family who has been involved in gruesome activities for a long time. He is present during scenes involving the torture and murder of victims, but due to his frailty, he is unable to successfully carry out acts of violence himself.

Despite his feeble appearance, Grandpa is still part of the family's macabre rituals and is depicted as one of the sources of the family's sadistic tendencies.

In the game, the 124-year-old Grandpa appears as a somewhat minor character whose purpose is to help the family in their hunts by exposing the victims if the victims are not careful enough.
