Shattered Space, the latest DLC for Bethesda's space adventure Starfield that hit the stores several days ago, already stands out for the better mission variety where, inside the missions, players must figure out some steps without the game leading them straight with the objective markers.
One such situation will commence during the Exhuming the Past mission, where our hero finds a way inside Ma'leen dam, but his/her progress is halted by the pool of corrosive water standing in the way of progression through the level.

How to drain water from the control room in Ma'leen dam
The computer controlling the draining pump will be shown on your screen with the objective marker, but the problem at hand will be how to reach it because the area is filled with corrosive water. To reach the small booth with the computer inside, look for the destroyed tank, and just next to it, you'll see a set of two scaffoldings leaning on each other. Use those to climb on the catwalk that will allow you to cross the room safely.
From the end of the catwalk, look to the right, just beneath the booth with the computer, and you'll see a place where you can land safely. Use your jetpack to land without taking damage. You'll find the stairs behind the corner that lead to the booth. Enter the booth and interact with the computer.
Now, the progress will be blocked by something else, so your next objective will be to destroy the reactor that stops the pump from working. Exit the booth on your left and use any weapon to blow it. Remember, the reactor is pretty tough, so it will take more than one clip to fall. Once it is destroyed, return to the computer and activate the pump.
