Shattered Space, the latest expansion for last year's Bethesda's flagship Starfield, is a DLC that surpasses the base game in many aspects, including more variety in mission design. In Shattered Space, many missions have puzzles, secret objectives and more, making them more interesting and more engaging in general.
During the "The Other Side" mission, you'll be sent inside the Anomalous Cave, where your objective will be to find a mysterious character only you can communicate with called Anasko.
Given that the cave is designed in the form of a small labyrinth, finding your bearings through it might prove very difficult, provided you don't know where and how to look. If this part of the mission is giving you trouble, we have a guide for you to help you resolve this issue.
How to find your way through the Anomalous Cave
Once you enter the cave, be prepared to fight several spider-like alien creatures that can be very tough—inside the cave, you'll fight three waves of those creatures. The best strategy against them is to shoot them with a shotgun while backing away. When you dispose of the threat, it is time to find Anasko.
Notice a wind swirling around the cave's hallways. Those winds always go in one direction. To find Anasko, all you must do is follow the wind and move in the same direction. If you come across the enemies, deal with them and then return to following the wind.
You'll know you're in the right place once the mission pointer reappears and when, inside a larger chamber, you see a statue made of light. Approach that statue, enter the void, and speak to Anasko. Once the conversation is over, Anasko will disappear, and you'll be briefly attacked by the alien creatures. Just ignore them; in a few seconds, you'll be respawned inside the cave. Exit the cave and finish this part of the mission.
