Final Fantasy XV to get a free demo next week, limited-time Half-Life pack available

Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition will be available via Origin, Steam and the Windows 10 store. The game's PC demo will go live on all those platforms on 26 February 2018. Each store will offer different pre-order bonuses.

Troy Baker and Emily O'Brien have joined the cast of Death Stranding. The announcement was made via O'Brien's Instagram account. Troy Baker is known for playing Joel in The Last of Us. Emily O'Brien voiced Camille in League of Legends.

Ubisoft released a new patch for Assassin's Creed Origins. The patch has brought the new Discovery mode that lets players explore the game's world and its history. Guided tours lead the players through Egypt, Alexandria and more.

Biomutant is an upcoming open world action RPG. The game's story is centered around a tree players need to save. The character creation tool will allow for various character mutations.

Dark Souls: Remastered getting a Switch port

Dark Souls: Remastered Switch port will be handled by a China-based studio Virtuos. The studio has previously worked on porting the Switch version of L.A. Noire. QLOC - a Polish studio will take care of Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions.

Capcom sure aren't keen on no baby steps with Monster Hunter: World as the developer already announced the second part of its Horizon: Zero Dawn event. We now know it starts at the end of February, will be called The Proving and will let you dress up as Aloy.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2's PC release date

Fatshark's Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will launch for the PC in early March. The release date for consoles will be announced "shortly". The game's beta will kick off on 28 February 2018.

Capcom's latest hit, Monster Hunter: World is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a PC version coming later this year. Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto said that they are aware of the request to bring the game over to the Switch but the odds of that happening are slim to none.

Horizon Zero Dawn took home the Writers Guild of America award for its writing.
