PlayMagic are finally ready to reveal the release date of the XIII Remake on all eligible platforms. However, the actual info came from Amazon along with new gameplay screenshots.
Before Borderlands, there was another cel-shaded game that won the hearts of those who played it. The game was not a looter shooter but rather a conspiracy intrigue, made to look like you are playing a comic book, hence the art style.
Over a decade later, we are getting a remake of XIII which enjoyed some success across various media types - from comics, over TV series and big screen to video games. It has been a quiet few years for the universe that started in Belgian comics but we are getting a video game remake on November 10, 2020.
The Amazon listing that divulged the info included some new gameplay screenshots, which were not visible on the XIII Steam store page . We have included both the Steam and Amazon images in the gallery below so you can preview what is coming in late 2020.
While the listing only references the PlayStation 4 release, the game is going to launch on all platforms simultaneously. That includes PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
In case you are new to the world of XIII and the name is a bit puzzling, it refers to the protagonist. He is a soldier prodigy but has amnesia and all he currently knows is that he's been wrongly accused of murdering the President of the United States.
The remake will include 34 levels in the campaign which should prove to be enough for both the story exposition and for players to get enough gameplay. It's not guaranteed that players will not be left wanting more after the conclusion though.
