Xbox already confirmed a couple of major releases for 2025 including the long-awaited Fable, Compulsion Games' stunning action-adventure South of Midnight and Doom: The Dark Ages from Bethesda.
However, it looks like they could have more in store for next year according to the latest leaks. First, we got a new report from the reliable The Verge reporter Tom Warren, who claims that Gears of War E-Day had a target release window of 2025 a couple of months ago.
"Microsoft didn’t put a date or release window on Gears of War: E-Day, but a few months back, I’d heard it was targeting a release in 2025 — ahead of even Fable. That may have changed by now, so the lack of a release window gives The Coalition some breathing room here," he said in his latest article.
In addition, Clockwork Revolution could be another Xbox title slated for 2025. The release date was found in the resume of voice actor Mike Bodie who seems to be voicing one of the characters in InXile Entertainment's steampunk RPG.
In the resume, Bodie included a bunch of announced and unannounced upcoming games along with their respective developers and launch dates.
Clockwork Revolution does not have an official release date at the moment. When InXile revealed the project at the Xbox Games Showcase last year, they said the game was coming "in due time".
The 2025 release window for Clockwork Revolution certainly would not be too much of a surprise. InXile have been busy with this one for quite a while, presumably starting development sometime in 2020, after releasing Wasteland 3.

Xbox Game Studios games in 2025
- Doom: The Dark Ages (Confirmed)
- Fable (Confirmed)
- South of Midnight (Confirmed)
- Gears of War: E-Day (Rumoured)
- Clockwork Revolution (Rumoured)
- The next Call of Duty game
We're also getting a new Call of Duty next year (obviously) and according to reliable reports, the 2025 title could be a semi-futuristic Black Ops 2 sequel. It's safe to say that if all these games are released in 2025, Xbox could have one of their best years ever with an incredibly diverse lineup. Add potential expansions and DLCs for the already ongoing live service titles and there's certainly plenty of stuff for Xbox gamers to play.
Keep in mind that plans can change so some games that are expected next year could be pushed into 2026 for extra polish and optimisation. And then there's Rockstar's big GTA 6 release which every publisher will probably want to avoid so launch windows are certainly not set in stone for some of these titles.
