World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will feature an NPC that will be a homage to the late Byron "Reckful" Bernstein, reflecting some of the player's unique traits.
Reckful, who was one of the most prominent World of Warcraft players to ever visit the game, will get another homage from Blizzard when Shadowlands releases. A similarly named NPC will be placed in the Cathedral of Light and will serve as a Rogue trainer.
In true Reckful fashion, the NPC will not train Assassination tree due to the player's famous stunt where he declined to play a Mutilate Rogue back in Wrath of the Lich King days. It did not stop him from reaching the top of the ladder, which is something he did six times in a row.
Besides the option to ask for training, the players can close the dialogue box by saying "It was good seeing you again", which is a nice Easter Egg itself.
This is not the first time an NPC was themed after Reckful since Byron Burnside was added in Kul Tiras back in 2018. While the NPC carried a play on Bernstein's name, the new Rogue trainer in Stormwind is definitely more connected to the player himself.
While Shadowlands doesn't have an exact release date yet, the trainer was found on the test server and it was not long before its existence was made public by other players and content creators.
