One weapon that everyone uses in Destiny 2 is Witherhoard. Whether there is a seasonal mod that makes it Weaken the enemies or not, this bad boy is just useful all around - PvE, PvP, PvPvE, you name it.
So when Bungie decided to put it in the pool of Exotics that could get the next ornament and let the players decide which weapon would get it, there was never any doubt about the results.
This is especially true when you consider that the other two contestants, Thunderlord and Izanagi's Burden was niche picks.
Bungie published the results in the latest TWAB, noting that Witherhoard won 45 per cent of the votes, Thunderlord came in second with 36 per cent and Izanagi's Burden was third with 19 per cent.
Granted, the other two weapons are neither bad nor useless but they are nowhere near as widespread as the breech-load grenade launcher.
Some players already voiced their disappointment with the weapons that were chosen for the seeding and now it remains to be seen whether Bungie will take the feedback to heart and pool meta weapons with others that feature high usage rate in the future.
Thankfully, both Thunderlord and Izanagi already look great in their default skins and the latter doesn't lack ornament options either but it would be nice to see the niche picks get some love henceforward.
