Much like the base game, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is coming along slowly but the first major gameplay showcase is just around the corner.

CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be at the Summer Games Fest in a big capacity and the fans will be able to see and experience gameplay from the studio's biggest expansion yet, at least financially.

Yes, that means there will be opportunities for hands-on experience, where the gamers will be able to play the expansion before it releases at some point this year.

Summer Games Fest itself will run from June 8, 2023, and there will be several livestreams where you can follow the event.

Considering that E3 was cancelled, this will likely be the biggest gaming event of Summer 2023, so you might want to tune in regardless.

Phantom Liberty itself will probably provide a smaller game's worth of content so don't expect to see it all during what is bound to be a short hands-on session .

After all, there will be numerous participants who will want a glimpse of the gameplay and the chances to give it a shot will be limited. That said, it is refreshing to see the showcase out in the wild instead of being behind closed doors like the base game was.

If there are any development issues, they will be seen well before release, which should give the devs more direction so we avoid another troubled launch from CDPR.
