Warframe's expansion Fortuna is getting an, erm, well, expansion, as Digital Extremes announced that The Profit-Taker is scheduled to land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today, more than a month after its launch for the master race hordes.
We're not criticising Digital Extremes here mind you, because when it comes to delivering new content, Warframe is easily one of the best-supported games around. That being said, let's dig into The Profit-Taker.
As the story goes, Nef has Vallis on lockdown, which effectively cut off all supply lines and travel routes in and out of Fortuna. So, it's time for "something big", which in this case is both literally and figuratively.
Warframe players will find The Profit-Taker "perched atop the Enrichment Labs on the outskirts of Fortuna", invulnerable to weapons thanks to Sentient overshield technology. This means you'll have to take down the Orb Mother, which will require working with Solaris United to find weaknesses and tools for the job.
Speaking of tools for the job, The Profit-Taker lets players use the Gravimag to make Archweapons available on the ground, which is bound to come in handy when taking on the Orb Mother.
On the more peaceful side of things, Warframe's conservationists now have additional three Echo-Lures for capturing three new Vallis' native species - Sawgaws, Horrasques and Stovers.
The Profit-Taker also brings Baruuk, Warframe's newest frame whom the company describes as "a pacifist by nature", but whose "calm manner erupts when he's pushed to the edge."
Baruuk's abilities are Elude, which dodges incoming projectiles when not attacking, Lull, which is basically putting enemies to sleep and having them wake up disoriented, Desolate Hands, which has explosive daggers seeking enemy weapons and double range when combined with Elude, and Serene Storm, a flurry of Desert Wind-fueled strikes that restore his eroded Restraint.

Warframe's weapons arsenal got three new additions - Exergis, which is a Corpus shotgun, Plinx, a "deceptively simple battery-powered pistol" and Galvacord, a retractable whip that lets you go full medieval.
