Warframe's first community event, Operation: Buried Depths is now live and it will bring players together with Solaris United in a new Operation which will offer unique items. There is also a new massive Warframe called Hildryn to boot.

Digital Extremes' intro for Warframe's Operation: Buried Depths states that Thermia fractures are occuring on the surface of Venus and they are a direct result of Nef Anyo's greed. This is putting Orb Vallis at risk and players will need to work alongside Solaris United to locate, uncover and solve the new Operation.

It will offer unique rewards such as Emblem and Sigil, Amalgam Mods and the Opticor Vandal but Digital Extremes hinted at a challenging boss that will stand in players' way to the much desired loot. Players who want to embark on this journey can start at Orb Vallis.

Players will have even more tools at their disposal now that Hildryn is available. This new Warframe offers versatile shield manipulation. Hildryn will steal shields from enemies, adding them to her own in the process. The shields will act as battery for her abilities. Hildryn can also redirect some shields to her allies so you wouldn't be wrong if this Warframe reminded you of Zarya from Overwatch.

Aegis Storm ability will make Hildryn hover across the battlefield and project an empowered area around her. Enemies crossing or caught within the threshold will suffer damage and crowd control as they will levitate in place. You can preview Hildryn's profile on the video below.

Other additions include Larkspur, an Arch-gun with a "wild" initial attack that will lock onto a target and chain to nearby enemies. You can see it on the trailer above. Surator Syandana and Hildryn Asuron Helmet are themed after the latest Warframe as they are all robust in appearance.

Melee revamp is also coming with this update, as Digital Extremes seemingly have no limits. Melee combat should feel better, more fluid and more powerful now. You can read the full notes on the Operation: Buried Depths blog post and check the newly added cosmetics in the process.
