Veto, the newest Valorant Sentinel, will join the agent roster on October 7, 2025. Veto is a new Senegalese agent, according to Riot Games' official announcement. Veto made his debut during the VCT Champions Paris grand finals between NRG and Fnatic, bringing an arsenal of disruption and defensive abilities.
With his debut, Veto will become the 29th agent of the game. Veto is a Sentinel from Senegal. Unlike other Sentinels, Veto's abilities are focused on causing disruption by disabling utility and stopping players in their tracks. Moreover, his ultimate is currently the strongest in the game, as it makes players completely immune to every other agent's ultimate as well as any abilities that can cause debuffs.
Here's a look at the abilities of Veto:
- Chokehold: Equip a viscous fragment of your mutation. Fire to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.
- Crosscut: Equip a vortex. Fire to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, reactivate to teleport to the vortex. During the buy phase, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.
- Interceptor: Equip the Interceptor. Fire to place the Interceptor at the projected location. Once placed, reuse to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would bounce off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.
- Evolution (Ultimate): Instantly begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.
In the current state of Valorant, the arrival of Veto will surely shift the game's agent comp meta. As ability and debuff spam has become a rampant issue across all ranks and game modes, Veto will be an ideal counter alongside KayO to stop players from mindlessly using their utility.
